- Event Coordinator - Toronto, Canada (Relocation welcome)
Description
Toronto is one of North America’s most vibrant, multicultural cities – a hub for business, culture and live events – and our downtown office puts you right at the centre of it all. From lakeside summers and world‑class restaurants to major festivals and sports, it’s an incredible place to build your career and your life.
We’re looking for an experienced event coordinator to join our team in Toronto, helping to deliver a portfolio of B2B events – including industry trade shows, festivals, conferences and awards programs across North America.
Important: This is a Canada‑based role. You must have (or be able to obtain independently) the legal right to live and work in Canada at the time of hire. The employer cannot sponsor work permits or other immigration applications. Ideal for candidates planning to relocate to Canada on a youth or temporary work scheme and who will hold independent work authorisation.
Life at Key Media…
Welcome to Key Media. As the home of some of the world’s most trusted B2B media brands spanning legal, HR, safety, insurance, mortgage and finance, we pride ourselves on creating the best content, accessed by people when and how they want, while recognising and celebrating excellence in business and leadership. We bring business people together so that they can thrive and grow.
Our purpose is to inform, connect, educate, inspire and reward business people around the world.
This role is based on a dynamic hybrid model, with 2 days a week in our vibrant downtown Toronto office and 3 days working from home. You’ll need to live – or be willing to relocate – within an easy commuting distance of our downtown office.
During peak periods and event weeks, you’ll be in the heart of the action, spending additional time in the office and on location at live events, where the energy and excitement are at their highest.
The role involves:
- Coordinating the logistics for face‑to‑face conferences, business festivals, trade shows and awards nights
- Liaising with key stakeholders – speakers, sponsors, delegates and vendors
- Running events on‑site in the US and Canada
- Working within a small team of dedicated and hardworking staff around the world
- Running events like HR Future Fest
Enough about us… let’s talk about YOU!
You’re our ideal candidate if you:
- Bring 2+ years of hands‑on event logistics experience
- Are excited to be based in Toronto (either already there or keen to relocate) and love being at the heart of the action
- Are ready to hit the road; ability to travel freely and regularly across Canada and the USA is required (including being able to obtain any necessary entry permissions/visas for business travel)
- Can seamlessly coordinate corporate events while thriving under tight deadlines
- Possess exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills
- Radiate enthusiasm, positivity, energy and professionalism, and know how to build strong relationships with clients, delegates and vendors
Benefits of the role:
Be at the heart of flagship events like HR Future Fest in Toronto and IB Future Fest on Santa Monica Pier – high‑energy, future‑focused festivals that blend bold content with unforgettable live experiences.
You’ll also enjoy:
- Great benefits: Health, dental and EAP
- Flexible hybrid work: Home + vibrant downtown Toronto office
- Continuous learning: LinkedIn Learning access
- Extra time off: Earn an extra vacation day for every year you’re with us
- Volunteer day: One paid day per year to give back
- Recognition & rewards: Quarterly awards, vouchers and travel incentives
- Travel: Opportunities to attend events across Canada and the USA
