POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking an experienced Territory Sales Representative to join our client's team and drive business growth in the fine jewelry sector. The ideal candidate will have an established network of independent retailers and a proven track record of generating substantial sales through strong relationship-building and in-person engagement. This role requires a high-energy, self-motivated sales professional who enjoys being on the road meeting clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities:
Leverage existing relationships within the fine jewelry industry to open new accounts and drive repeat sales.
Travel extensively to meet with independent retailers and CBG members, host trunk shows, and attend industry events.
Curate tailored assortments based on each retailer's customer base and buying patterns.
Deliver persuasive and knowledgeable presentations of fine jewelry collections.
Maintain consistent follow-up and account support to strengthen long-term partnerships.
Identify and develop new sales opportunities nationwide without territorial limitations.
Communicate client feedback, market trends, and competitive insights to the leadership team.
Candidate Attributes Include:
A robust "black book” of fine jewelry retail contacts.
Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently while meeting aggressive sales targets.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
High level of professionalism and ability to represent a luxury brand.
Strong merchandising skills and the ability to tailor assortments for diverse markets.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum five years' experience in fine jewelry sales with independent retailers and/or CBG members.
Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a commission-based role.
Ability and willingness to travel 70% or more of the time throughout the U.S.
Bachelor's degree a plus but not required.
Must have recent experience as a Independent Sales Representative (or in a comparable traveling sales capacity) with an established book of business.
Candidates with only retail floor and no travel or territory management management background will not be considered.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT
Location: Remote within the U.S. with frequent travel required.
COMPENSATION
Open to Salary plus Commission on a W2 basis
Or 100% Commission-based: 8–10% of net sales received
All approved travel expenses reimbursed (hotel, transportation, etc.)
