Are you an experienced Infrastructure Delivery Manager looking to make a tangible impact in the Government and Public Sector? Our client is seeking a passionate professional to drive the successful delivery of public transport infrastructure projects across the East Midlands. Join us for an exciting opportunity to enhance public transport accessibility and improve passenger experiences!
What You'll Do:In this hands-on role, you will manage multiple infrastructure schemes from development through to construction and completion. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of public transport infrastructure projects.
- Managing key projects such as bus stations, transport interchanges, bus stops, and accessibility improvements.
- Developing construction briefs, technical specifications, and procurement documentation.
- Overseeing project delivery through appointed consultants and contractors.
- Monitoring budgets, quality, and project risks throughout the delivery phase.
- Conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Building effective relationships with local authorities, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Preparing insightful project reports and updates for governance processes.
Who You Are:You are a proactive and delivery-focused infrastructure professional with a track record of managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments. Key qualifications include:
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience in delivering infrastructure, highways, civil engineering, or public realm projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously through design, procurement, and construction phases.
- Strong understanding of project delivery processes and contract management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience delivering public transport or local authority infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of NEC or other construction contracts.
- Familiarity with construction health and safety legislation and CDM requirements.
Qualifications:While we value practical experience over specific qualifications, degrees in Civil Engineering, Construction, Highways, Surveying, Project Management, or related fields are advantageous. Professional qualifications such as PRINCE2 or APM are a plus but not essential.
Working Arrangements:This role requires regular travel across the East Midlands. You will attend construction sites, project meetings, and engage with stakeholders, with a work vehicle provided for business travel.
